Dos Mujeres Mexican Folk Art Began it's online presence in 1996 specializing in folk art and fine art from all over Mexico. Everything on our site is hand picked and made individually by hand by artists in small towns, villages and large cities throughout Mexico. Our current place of business is located in Mexico. We travel throughout the year to various parts of Mexico in search of the finest quality folk art, contemporary pieces, the unusual, unique and kitschy folk art pieces.

We are dedicated to preserving the folk art tradition, as well as supporting modern folk artist communities by purchasing and finding buyers for their work. We support fair trade and buy from our artists at their going rate. With a lot of hard work, strange and wonderful travels to remote villages and large cities in Mexico, we have been fortunate to build wonderful relationships with talented untrained artists and their families, many of whom we consider to be second homes to us while we are in Mexico.

We are happy to be able to bring their world to you, their valued customers. Every purchase you make supports their traditional lives and values while also helping to bring some of the benefits of the modern world to them.

We have many artists throughout Mexico that we support including, the Aguilar sisters - Josefina Aguilar, Guillermina Aguilar, Irene Aguilar, Concepcion Aguilarand their brother Jesus Aguilar. We also carry work by tree of life artists of Izucar de Matamoros, including Isabel Castillo, Heriberto Castillo Orta, Alfonso Castillo Orta, Francisco Flores and Maria Balbuena and family.
